Field hockey specialist Dita International have appointed a UK Brand manager to help support their plan for an increased market share to bring them back to the forefront of the sport in the UK.

Michael Byrd has a wealth of experience in both playing the sport and growing brands within the market place.

Dita are one of the leading brands in the Dutch hockey market and they are committed to replicating this success in the UK market.

An Ambassador program has been set up and is now supporting some of the best young international players from the home nations spreading the word through this important demographic and driving demand for the brand.

Founded in 1891, Dita have always been at the forefront of innovation in the sport, revolutionising stick production in the 1980s by producing the first composite reinforced stick the ‘CarboTec’ and developing some of the first hockey specific shoes on the market. The brand remains a favourite for some of the top players in the world.

Sticking to the brand’s ethos of being ‘One Step Ahead’ this season they have used their wealth of experience and passion for the sport to further develop their market leading CarboTec and CarboTec Pro stick ranges using cutting edge aviation grade materials and have redesigned their ever-popular ‘Footglove’ shoe range creating a trendsetting new generation of shoes providing the ultimate in performance.
