Mizuno sign Superleague Netball player

Mizuno Netball is delighted to announce the signing of England and Team Northumbria defender Leah Kennedy. Leah came late into the game after being discovered at 16, demonstrating an obvious and natural talent for the sport. Just a year later she took her Superleague bow for Team Northumbria.

Despite a couple of serious injuries since, Leah's career has gone from strength to strength culminating in the ultimate honour this year - England selection and a place in the Roses full time programme. Leah was part of the England squad that competed in Australia in the 2016 Fast Fives tournament and more recently, the home series against Jamaica.

Graham Johnson of Mizuno Netball said he identified Leah as a potential 'All Star' some time ago. "Leah is a perfect addition to our athlete base - talented, determined and committed. She proved that even at 16 it's possible to get noticed and have your sporting ambitions fulfilled and is a great role model for young players everywhere. We're very much looking forward to working with Leah for the foreseeable future and supporting her with her future development".
